About the Society

Objectives of JASC
back

1. Financial: JASC received grant monies from the U.S. Japan Friendship Commission for three years to cover administrative costs. Since 1994, the Society has maintained its administrative staff through the income of membership dues and revenues from certain programs. Other programs are offered on a break-even basis where members pay to attend the event. JASC seeks program and operating support through corporate and foundation funding. Special programs will be offered as grant funds are received.

2. Administrative: JASC presently maintains a full-time Executive Director and Program Coordinator. The two staff members coordinate and schedule programs with the assistance of JASC's committees. In addition, members volunteer their time as needed.
