For individuals that work with Japan, a common question that is asked is "how have you managed quality in Japan?" For some, the answer is about what process changes they have made to ensure the highest quality levels; for others it is how they have educated their own companies about the expectations; and yet for others it is how they have dealt with consumer issues when they came up. The issues are different for each company, but the theme is the same: doing business in Japan requires a different approach to quality that other markets around the world.
Following a brief historical overview, several local business leaders (noted below) will discuss how these expectations differ from those in the U.S., what quality control issues exist, the effects of regulatory issues, and the consequent effect on the company's competitiveness in the Japanese market.
Refreshments and snacks will be served after the seminar, giving you an opportunity to network.
