The Program for Teaching East Asia, in cooperation with Houghton Mifflin, and the Boulder Public Library, presents an evening with prize-winning children's author Allen Say. Mr. Say will talk about his newest book, KamishibaiMan and the history of Kmishibai (paper theater). The art of paper theater grew from the economic depression, where children and adults gathered around a street performer to listen to his suspenseful stories and buy candies. Lifht refreshments and the sale of Kamishibai Man will follow Say's talk.
