The Pioneer Kansha-sai (Gala) honors Bob and Joanna Sakata, two of Colorado's most respected citizens who have made Sakata Farms successful and make substantial contributions to our Colorado community. Sakata Farms is a manifestation of the American dream, despite numerous challenges, and made possible by the Sakata's pioneering spirit and the support of their family of employees.

For more than 50 years, Bob and Joanna have given much to our state's food and agricultural businesses, have been leaders in the Japanese-American community, and have become Shogun in business between Japan and Colorado. Please join JASC in recognizing these two distinguished leaders of Colorado.

The Pioneer Award is given by the Japan America Society of Colorado to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions as true pioneers to the development of good relations between Colorado and Japan and have overcome challenges to improve our Colorado community.

Please RSVP with JASC for this event!
