As part of Denver Civic Center Conservancy's Civic Center Park Free Concert series, Denver Taiko (Japanese drumming) will be performing on Friday, August 4, 2006. Taiko is a Japanese cultural tradition that began somewhere between 300 and 900 C.E. and was originally used in battle to intimidate and frighten the enemy. Dever Taiko is an award-winning ensemble of third-, fourth-, and fifth generation Japanese Americans.
