JASC recipient of Richard J Wood Art Curator Series Grant
Funded by a grant to NAJAS (National Association of Japan America Societies) from the Japan-United States Friendship Commission, the grant allows for a talk at a Japan America Society by a curator of Japanese art at a well known museum or private collection in the United States.
In 2018, the winning Societies are:
- Japan-America Society of Central Ohio, in collaboration with the Columbus Museum of Art: Sinéad Vilbar of the Cleveland Museum of Art
- Japan-America Society of Colorado, in collaboration with the Denver Art Museum: Anne Nishimura Morse of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston)
- Japan-America Society of Houston, in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston: Rob Mintz of the Asian Art Museum (San Francisco)
- Japan-America Society of St. Louis, in collaboration with Pulitzer Art Foundation or St. Louis Art Museum: Xiaojin Wu of the Seattle Art Museum
