Kezurou-kai USA 2018

Have fun with Japanese wood working!

Our new friend at JASC, Mr. Takayuki Kida, is hosting this fun event on Saturday.  Go out and say hello - and maybe give it a try!

Kezurou-kai is a competition amongst woodworkers to create the thinnest, longest hand plane shaving possible.  This has grown more popular in the United States and has expanded to include demonstrations and lectures celebrating traditional Japanese woodworking tools and techniques.

This great inaugural event in Denver is FREE and FUN!

Date:     August 4th (10am - 4pm)

Place :  Red Rock Community College FIW main shop

Featuring : Short Class, Demo and Hand Plane shaving contest 

Fee : Free (donations encouraged)

Winning Prize : Japanese Tool from Suzuki-Ya (suzukitool.com

-First place $100, Second place $50 gift certificate by TC Woods
