Reuniting In Person!
PXL_20210612_161333535.jpg

Our Kaiwa Club (Japanese Conversation Group) met in-person for the first time in a long time on Saturday, June 12! The feeling of reuniting was palpable as conversations erupted, smiles soared and laughs filled the air. The group of nearly 30 gathered under the trees in downtown Denver’s Washington Park. We are so happy to be returning to some safe in-person gatherings. We are so happy to be with our members and community- it’s what is at our core. If you missed us as much as we missed you, come out for our Summer Gala: A Celebration of Excellence, our Dragon Boat Team, and/ or our Golf Tournament. Stay tuned as we create more opportunities to connect!

JASC 2021 Dragon Boat Team: Nichi-Bei-GO

JASC has committed to the 2021 Dragon Boat season and are looking for paddlers to join our team! Our boat is typically made up of both Japanese and non-Japanese JASC members. You do not need prior paddling experience. (Our inaugural team was 90% novices.) We are competitive, but mainly focus on having a great time out on the water and learning to paddle as one. Committing to the team involves being a member of JASC, a $50 fee that covers practices, the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival race (Sept. 25, 2021), etc. If you are looking for a Japan-related team to join, enjoy being in a boat and are ready to smile and sweat, click here for more info and contact Jessyca: jessyca@jascolorado.org to let her know you’re interested!
